Fashion Trends Coming In Summer 2022

Since Spring is so close to ending, and summer is slowly but surely creeping in, let’s talk fashion! What trends are we about to see surface for the hotter months of the year! I figured I should come up with a list of my own predictions! Please Enjoy!

Billowing Blouses

If you’re not a fan of blouses, it’s time to get on board. This classic staple can be easily dressed up or down and is comfortable enough to wear all day long. Whether you are heading to the office or out with friends, you’ll turn heads in your billowing blouse. To make this look work for you, choose a light fabric in a warm color. Try looking for blouses made from a breathable material like cotton that will keep you cool without sacrificing style.

If comfort isn’t your top priority, consider going for an oversized silhouette and pairing it with dress pants or skinny jeans to complement your figure. You can also choose a more fitted design that will show off curves while keeping things casual chic!

Harajuku Girl-Inspired Dresses

Harajuku girl outfits – especially the Lolita-style dresses – are popular clothing among fashionistas in summer.

To dress like a Harajuku girl, first, you must be familiar with the Harajuku culture, which is an area in Tokyo, Japan.

The style of Harajuku girls was popularized by Gwen Stefani during the early 2000s and has remained a trending fashion look for teenagers and young adults since then.

You can identify these styles by their pastel colors, detailed patterns, designs on their skirts or dresses, cutesy details (such as flowers, bows, and animal ears), and multiple layers.

If you want to join this trend in 2022, get ready to do some shopping! You’ll need to find the right details to create your ideal Harajuku outfit.

Statement Tank Tops

It’s straightforward to update your wardrobe in a very inexpensive way. All you have to do is add these can’t-miss staple pieces. Statement tank tops are really taking off this season, and you’ll see them on every fashionista from here to Timbuktu. If you want to look like the most incredible girl at the party (or even just walking down the street), make sure you’ve got one of these in your closet.

The first thing that sets apart statement tops is the length—you won’t find any crop tops here! Instead, they fall all the way down over your hips, giving you more coverage than a short top while still keeping it cool with armholes turned out and no sleeves. They can be sleeveless or come with tiny cap sleeves—the end result is a roomy neckline ideal for showing off jewelry or necklaces and bracelets.

Accessories work best when they’re light and airy so as not to distract from the shirt itself—think long chains that hang all the way to your waistband instead of chunky ones that stop at your collarbone, or dangling earrings instead of rings. When worn with layers like vests or cardigans, statement shirts can be dressed up or down depending on what kind of occasion they’re being worn for; pair them with jeans and boots for an edgier look, or wear them with yoga pants for chilling out on a Sunday afternoon, or go full-on glam by putting yours on under a fitted blazer and tucking it into dress pants.

Bucket Hats

Bucket hats are the new classic. As a summer must-have, it’s a great way to add a pop of color to any outfit. It’s also an excellent way to protect your face from the sun and hide a bad hair day. Sometimes if you’re just running out for some groceries or on a beach vacation, you don’t have time to style your hair perfectly, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look stylish and cute!

Did I mention bucket hats are the new classic?

Bike Shorts

Bike shorts. The name makes it sound like something only meant to be worn while cycling, but that’s not the case for this summer’s hottest trend. You can wear bike shorts with basically anything! And you don’t have to be a cyclist to pull them off. I’d recommend pairing them with a shirt or jacket and sneakers, heels, or flats, depending on whether you’re going for a more casual or formal look. You can also wear them with a crop top or long sleeve if you want more coverage in your midsection. They’re pretty flattering too!

These fashion trends are coming to summer near you.

Hopefully, they’re a lot more trends that come into Summer 2022! I am so excited to wear my favorite sundresses and hang by the pool! Let me know what fashion trends you are excited about!
